"Cooking with Our 3s"
This multiplication rap song gives students practice multiplying by 3. The song begins with mnemonics to help students remember their threes. The second half of the song features practice problems which challenge students to sing out the answer before we do.
Let’s say that you need,
To put 3 scoops of sugar in your iced tea,
You have 5 iced teas,
How many scoops of sugar do you think you need?
Now let’s see, that’s 5 x 3,
I know the answer, it’s 15,
Yeah, that’s just what we do,
In the kitchen, we’re cooking up our vegetables.
