In order to know a number’s value, you’ve got to understand place value! This song reviews the concept of place value and gives opportunities for practice.

Each digit of a number has a different name. That name is the digit's place value.
The hundreds' place is the name of the place value three to the left. So if there is a number in the hundreds' place, the number is at least 100.
The tens' place is the name of the place value two to the left. So if there is a number in the tens' place, the number is at least 10.
The ones' place is the number closest to the right. So if there is a number in the ones' place, the number is at least 1.
