Flocabulary Professional Development

This session is a great way to introduce your teachers to Flocabulary after a purchase or adoption. An emphasis is placed on understanding the pedagogy behind the Flocabulary program, as well as building lesson plans that foster creativity and abstract thought through high-interest content drawn from popular culture and music. Objective: Introduce the Flocabulary Concept and present the research associated with using hip-hop and other pop culture elements in the classroom. After discussing theory, specific lesson plan ideas and applications will be generated in an interactive group discussion. This session can be customized to any academic subject.
